How do Muslims feel about their religion fighting the whole world for the last 1,400 years?

First of all, the Jews have been in that land since 5,000 years before the infernal Muhammad was even born.

The Bible predates the Koran by a few thousand years.

Jesus was born 600 years before Muhammad IN THAT LAND.

It was always the land of the Jews. They picked it for a reason.

It was named Palestine by the Romans who wanted to name it after the Philistines.

There were Jewish historical sites way before Islam even existed.

There were no Arabs in Jerusalem until they came and massacred Jews and Christians right after the death of Muhammad in the 600s.

There is no such thing as a Palestinian person. That's just a construct of Arab propaganda after the 1967 conflict.

Bases on historical and political dynamics of a typical religious movement development, Islam is rougfly in a stage where Christianity was about 600 years ago - so hopefully we may see pretty soon (in this century) it's conversion from partially radical religious movement to responsible and co-existing religion.

Yes Muhammad did ask his followers to continue Jihad in the name of Allah, but Jihad (contrary to popular belief) does not translate to 'holy war'. Jihad more correctly translates as 'Holy Struggle' which can be A: Greater Jihad, an internal spiritual struggle or B: Lesser Jihad, an external struggle (e.g. fighting).

Also, Muslims have not been fighting the entire world for 1400 years, though throughout the conflicts they have been engaged in there were many where they were not the agressor: The Crusades, Napolean's conquest of Egypt, The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, The Inquisition (though mainly against jews and 'heretics' did also target muslims), The Mongol invasion of west asia, and many many more.

In terms of Muhammad instructing his followers to subject the world to Shari'a through violent conflict, I suggest you do some reading on Muhammad that isn't written my some mindless islamophobe (e.g. Muhammad a biography of the prophet by Karen Arsmtrong).

I guess when you've been fighting for the past 1,400 years (if this is true) all you know what to do, and want to do is fight.

Plato believed that a society should not be based on war (conquering, fighting, etc), because when people finally stop fighting and have peace, they don't know what to do. And the notion of peace becomes as foreign as outer space. And their society falls apart, and goes into war again. Thus, an endless unfortunate cycle.

Anyways I'm sick of people protesting for Sharia Law in western nations. We have one law, that all peoples are subjected to. And that is THE LAW. The golden rule overides people's "freedom" of religion to have Sharia Law.

And to AJ from USA, the jews were there first. Pick up a book and pay the rent to Israel.

Actually, it's very frustrating. The whole western world seems to have gotten the idea that a Muslim is a guy with a long beard, conservative beleifs, halal meat and anti-social ways of life; or a woman who who only wears 'burkha' (black veil) and just exists to do their husband's bidding. They see in CNN, BBC this message being sent out and they are like, 'That is so not us.' Of course, Muslims are not as free as the western side, but still it is not as conservative as it has been led to beleive.
As for jihad, it is seen by people as a kind of a 'holy war' as it sometimes involves military action. But in fact it's only a small part of it, and it is only taken in self-defense or in the presence of injustice.
Just because some terrorists are Muslims don't mean that all Muslims are terrorists. And as for fighting for 1400 years, Muslims are still fighting. An ongoing battle that probably would never stop due to the media, and of course, racism.

The Palestines (arabs ) were living in the holy land for 1000s of years so who else but the king of the world steps in (AMERCIA) , in the late 40s after WW11 and decides to give the jews palestine and RENAMES it israel. what a disgrace to the arabs! and then it wants the JEWS to run the country and have the arabs sit back and watch their land being taken over.
