I do not know much about Johnny Depp, but the movie makers wanted a pirate that would appeal to young women and from the looks of this board, they have succeeded. He's not like the pirates of my day which were macho types. Times change, love him ladies, but if you have to write a paper on pirates forget everything you knew about the Johnny Depp and Pirates of the Caribbean.
