Yes dated actually, on and off for year then because of housing arrangements, we ended up living together for three years before getting married. We had our first sexual encounter about 2 months of dating (about 10 dates, but seeing each other almost everyother day) we lived together for 3 years before getting married.
We were married for 20 years and have a teenage daughter.
Other than my daughter, the marriage has sucked. If we had dated more steadily, rather than breaking up once in that first year, for about 3 months, we would have never moved in with each other. Because we were young and both blue-collar workers our dating time was quick and our "seeing each other time" was just for a few hours each visit.
As I said, because of situations, she was kinda forced to find a place to live, so it was convenient for her to move in w/me. If that never would have happened, I'm sure we would have never gotten married.
Although there are 2 sides to every story, this is mine. We found out that we weren't compatible in alot of ways: I loved the outdoors, camping, beach,etc. She hated it. She liked to zone out on the couch all the time: I didn't.
She took up smoking: I ididn't, I drank, she didn't
Vacations were always my decision, outings, my decision, I made the plans for every MFing thing we did outside the home, plans, routes, stops, reservations, etc. I hated doing it by myself but I did.
Eventually we started sleeping in separate rooms, other than when one of us had the "urge" and that aint no way to live.
I finally got a divorce, and got custody of my daughter, her mother hardly sees her (she's 20 miles away, and has seen her twice this calender year), she's dating again and frankly, I feel like the life has been sucked out of me, at 44 years old. But I am away from that.
So the moral, if any here is, know your mate, date your mate, for a long time, finish all of your schooling, sex can wait, casue it's the only thing you have 'one' of and you don't want to be liberal with that.

I wish that i knew then what I know now. I had no faith in anyone wanting to be with me forever or even this long. I'd have treated her then as I do now with absolute love ,devotion and trust. As far as I am able anyway with my human limitations.

yes, we did live together for 3 months b4 marriage,yes we did have sex b4 marriage, we only dated one month b4 getting engaged and we were only engaged 6 months b4 getting married, weve been married 1 year, no regrets and we have one 6 month old baby girl
