Black! Black is a classic color- it looks good on anybody, anytime. Black also slims people down so they can appear thinner. The darker the color, the greater the slimming affect it will have.

It's all optical illusion. Pick your fabrics, e.g. matte jersey is slimming. Be sure that it has lycra, it sucks in everything (not sure if it has lycra, check for the label "stretch" e.g. jeans). An alternative to vertical stripes( in a skirt or dress for example) are diagonal stripes, they're even more flattering and slimming. A-lines look good on anybody. Also, cinching is key, for example, to make a waistline appear smaller, make sure the cinching is on the side, it'll create an illusion.
You can wear colors other than black, as long as they're solid (or with a subdued, discreet pattern, busy patterns tend to enlarge). Empire cuts are good and very much in fashion right now.
Keep your colors matte, stay away from shiny or satiny since that just adds to your frame. (it's the same principle as with patterns).
For pants, don't go high cut! But also don't go to low as to expose the whole gut...About 1" below the navel would be OK. Bootcut and straight cuts are very slimming...flared not so much (since it tends to make an S shape with your hips) and remember, the longer the pant, the slimmer the look.

Well I know that you definitely don't' want to wear articles of clothing that are horizontally striped because this will make you appear larger in the stomach area. Usually a slim fitting black dress would compliment your figure. The length, and type depending on the shape of your body. Sometimes, people try to hide behind clothes that are too big for them but really all this is doing is making it even more noticeable to others. When buying clothes remember not to get them too tight to where it looks like your bulging out or wearing a younger siblings clothes, but, at the same time you don't' want to make yourself look big and frumpy by hiding behind too large articles. Hope this helps any!

Yes, black is great, but also monochromatic dressing works well. This means that you pretty much wear the same color for the entire outfit. So the same dark color for your entire outfit will create a slimmer appearance. You can also add shoes with heels and it is very very important to wear clothes that fit well. If the clothes are too tight or closefitting it might actually make you look bigger. Long sleek lines are best. Also, avoid large prints and horizontal stripes.

Shirts-
*Wrap shirts create the image of a smaller waist
*NEVER wear horizontal stripes on top or bottom... it makes you appear wider!! So stick to vertical stripes or SOLIDS... they work great
*Darker colors..... but make sure they still compliment your complexion
*V-necks are your new best friend =)

Pants-
*Vertical stripes create a longer leg and a thinner one too!
*Dark wash denim....stay away from jeans that have the lighter color on the thighs or back end!
*Pay close attention to pocket sizes.... they can make your rear look smaller or larger. =)

Good luck.... get in the habit of eating good foods and watching your proportions and get a good exercise plan in order. Just dressing well doesn't contribute to much... but It DOES help!! =) Plus.. if your body is healthy... you will live longer and feel great!! LOVE THE SKIN YOU'RE IN! =)

you should be able to wear anything. but first, if you think you are fat, and you do, you need to get on a healthy diet and exercise at least 30 minutes per day. this is not hard. and it has to be exercise. you need to swim, or ride a bike, or use some kind of machine. what ever is good for you. remember lance armstrong did not start in marathons, he started small. after a while, it usually takes 90 days to make new habits, you will like it, you will start to lose weight and tone up, and you will look fabulous in anything. no one wants to wear black all the time.

Black and lycra or some other form fitting material that will suck up a few inches. A nice heal can add height and decrease width. Try wearing a girdle or corset for sexy slip fitting wear.

It really depends on your body type, skin tone, and if it is for an event or just daily use.

And I agree with the first answer, if you don't feel like mentioning the things above, black is always a good color to wear.

black or dark clothing makes u look thin every time. but, don't make it too tight or else your flabby parts will show. you should wear shirts with already made curves (when it goes in at the middle area) for your bottom, wear something that fits you but gives a boost wherever needed.
