Some ideas, could your cpu fan be not working? If so your computer could be overheating and turning off to protect itself.

Is there trouble with the hard drive?
Find the "my computer" icon, double click it to open 'my computer' then right click on the "c drive", select properties. Then select tools, and click on disk errors.

When the pop up window opens check both check boxes and click ok, this will tell you that the scan will run next time you restart windows.

Close your programs, and restart the computer.

after the windows logo, before you login to the desktop the scan will start, this will tell you if you have a problem with your hard drive. The scan will take between 20 minutes to 1 and a half hours. let it finish and it will correct errors for you if it can.

windows will start normally after this.

Also, try doing defrag

start button, 'all programs', select 'accessories', then 'system tools' then 'system defragmentation' this will help your hard drive too.

Lastly, you might have a virus or trojan or spyware using up cpu or directly telling your computer to shutdown. check out yourtechonline.com the techs there helped me.

If it not a virus then you probably have bad memory or bad disk sectors. Try some memory and/or disk dianostics.
