I suggest just jump in an try it. Its incredibly simple and once you get your feet wet and understand the system you'll notice ways to limit your fees and take in more of a profit.

The only problems I have are stupid people. If you maintain good business ethics and promote your items fairly consistent to the condition they are in you should be fine.

Depending on what method you decide to use to make extra income, I would suggest that you take a look at ebays fee structure. While you are at it, you should check out paypals fee structure as well if you plan on accepting credit card payments from buyers.

I would also suggest to research the products you plan to sell. What are the average prices they are selling at? What are the average shipping costs? etc. If you research before buying goods, you'll be able to negotiate a better deal from your buyer (if you are looking at going the wholesale buying route).

Hope this helps.

Hi: I did it and can say it was quite a hassle to ship items out. There is a book that was quite helpful for me at the time, Ebay for Dummies. You can get it pretty cheap on amazon.com

What do you want to know? You can have a virtual garage sale and sell your old stuff, or you can come up with a unique product and sell it and build a client base.

I've only had one bad experience, but otherwise all good- and lots of it.
