MYSPACE USERS..Are You Aware?
A banner advertisement posted on the MySpace Web site may have infected more than one million users with adware, according to security firm iDefense. The advertisement was included in user profiles on MySpace and could have been operating for about one week.
DO NOT OPEN..exp.wmf.
My Question is were you aware of this warning? and do you still use Myspace. Thanks
Anyone else find it odd that Myspace and Yahoo Messenger are down at the same time?
Maybe someone is planning an attack on the internet and these 2 big sites are the test attacks.

Attention MySpace.com users. We have a new warning for you. A computer virus is hitting accounts and spreading fast.
More than a million accounts have been hit. We looked into this virus and found that when some users log into MySpace, a window pops up saying you have to download a file called "exp.wmf" If you do it, that's when the problems start.
News of the virus is hitting message boards all over the Internet, but MySpace users we caught up with at VCU were still very much in the dark about it.
"This is the first I've heard about this virus," says Mike Mahon.
"My friend called me this morning and he was asking me questions because he had problems with his. I guess he downloaded it," says Dennissa Karnjanaquarkon.
We spoke with technicians at CompUSA who say the virus has only been running rampant on MySpace since the weekend.
"That's what hackers go after - the largest websites. MySpace is the sixth largest that gets attention every day," says David Donald of CompUSA.
Things to look for to tell if you've been infected - you're bombarded with pop-up ads or your computer is running slowly.

I had a situation with my MySpace beforehand this week....announcements that i did not placed up confirmed up affirming they were printed by me. I had to regulate my codes over there. Now in the present day, couldn't get into Yahoo mail before each and every thing, and messsenger remains out. So is MySpace..... What an afternoon!! i replaced into meant to be on-line for per chance an hour and rather have spent limitless hours resetting issues and calling human beings to make certain in the experience that they could get in to something...

MySpace Power Outage shuts down site
Myspace.com posted an announcement tonight at 6:40PM PST time that their data center had a power outage. Tom went on to post the following message:
"hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom"
There were many bets placed to Tom and he has lost since it is now 9:40PM PST

um okay!! i use myspace everyday and have yet to have a serious problem! the only issues i have are signing in when it's busy! i'm sorry but i find that story hard to believe! but thanks for the 2 points!!
