It's in the South Pacific Ocean about 1000 Miles NE of New Zealand. It has 300 islands and about 800,000 people. It has the largest area of any South Pacific Country, except for New Zealand, Australia and Papua New Guinea.
It was formerly ruled by Britain but has been independent since 1970. They currently have peacekeeping soldiers in Lebanon. It's closest neighbours are Tonga, Samoa, Cook Islands, Vanuatu, New Caledonia, Tuvalu,Tahiti and New Zealand.
