I met this guy through a mutual friend and we instantly hit it off and have been/were great friends and knew everything about each other. (he lives in another country but we've known each other for years now and have met many times)

Well in the months leading up to this summer we would talk, but then he wouldn't talk back, kind of like he didn't want to be talking to me you know? And he would sign off without saying anything to me which is totally out of his character. And tonight is the first time all summer we have spoken and all we said was hi and hey.

I feel like he doesn't want to be my friend, what should I do? Hes still on, should I tell him how I feel or just not talk to him until he gets the picture? And what should I say? I feel so hurt.

Tell him how you feel, if he answers sincerely then great, if he acts like he doesn't care or tells you something that you know is B.S>, move on. Your gonna meet so many guys or girls as friends, people come and go, the good ones well they normally fleet off and no one knows why. people come in your life whether its a season, a reason or a life time. ive had so many and in 27 yrs only a few has mattered to me that i miss

You don't say what country he is in but if he is from some places (especially like japan) then if he has a relationship now, he may feel it is inappropriate to talk to a woman not his girlfriend or wife. It is normal for japanese guys/girls to not be so friendly with opposite sex after getting in serious relationship or marriage. It is not personal against you but just normal. Of course I think it is best if he explains this and asks you to not IM him...It is different in some places than in western countries where many people have friends of opposite sex even after marriage.
Good Luck. I would ask him but if he doesn't answer, just don't push the issue.

Sometimes people can be so damn mean...just treat him like a friend...say you gotta run and see if by not being available he comes around. Maybe, some stuff is going on that you don't know about. Be cool and not so obtainable. Guys like what they can't easily have. Call it the thrill of the chase and having to work for what they want. Good luck!

Just a guess....but has the topic of conversation ever turned to you two becoming more then just friends...

He may be trying to tell you that he wants more from you...but isnt sure he's going to get anywhere.

Or...there is a good possibility...that in your conversations with him, you made the mistake of declaring how nice it is to know a man that isnt interested in having sex with you, or some such line. This puts him in an awkward position...if he says anything to the contrary...he's not the man you thought he was.

ok well i think you should tell him how you feel and say how you feel in your own words not someone elses just tell and if he does not feel the same about you then you know what to do just dont keep hurting your self something is got to be up with him ask him that first and once you find out then tell him how you feel then see what he says GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Could be he's met someone locally, and doesn't have the cojones to tell you.

You can always just ask. Chances are, he's not going to answer. If that's the case, then you need to just let him go.

Either you said something that rubbed him the 'wrong' way. OR, he is in a new relationship and is having ALL kinds of problems.
