OMG for me it is about staring at James Dean.
Just kidding
It is actually about a teenager that moves to a new town and doesn't fit in so he hits a rampage of frustration,anger, and loneliness he kind of flips out starts rebelling against the rules of the town and his parents.
It is my ALL TIME FAVORITE movie there is not a month that goes by I don't watch it at least once.

Plot Summary for
Rebel Without a Cause (1955)
Jim Stark is the new kid in town. He has been in trouble elsewhere; that's why his family has had to move before. Here he hopes to find the love he doesn't get from his middle-class family. Though he finds some of this in his relation with Judy, and a form of it in both Plato's adulation and Ray's real concern for him, Jim must still prove himself to his peers in switchblade knife fights and "chickie" games in which cars race toward a seaside cliff.

James Dean, last movie, Sal Minneo, street car racing, teenage rebel youth of the 1950's. Unfortunately, James Dean died in a car crash just months after the movies release, he became a star, after his death, he was really not a big named movie star before he died. He is buried in Indiana, where he was born and raised. Giant with Rock Hudson and Elizabeth Taylor is another good movie and so is East of Eden, based on John Steinbeck's book.
