For example, when caught doing something stupid in public, like you are climbing stairs, and not paying attention, and you get to the top step, but think there is another, so you take a big step into thin air. Now say you do this in front of people you don't know, and will never see again. If you appear stupid people will think "oh that guy is just stupid, idiot", but if you add in some curse words and talk to a tree afterwards people will just say "oh my, he must be crazy". They give more respect to the crazy than the stupid. So would you rather look stupid, or just go all out, and make them think you are crazy? Thanks Louis C.K.

Stupid. If you're never going to see those people again, who cares what they think? EVERYBODY makes mistakes..to error is human. Those people have made mistakes too, you just didn't wittiness them. No need to put on an act just to satisfy or quell the opinion of others. Which would a person rather be stupid/make mistakes, or crazy and not know the difference right from wrong?

Just say something: "Guess I should pay a little more attention, huh!", Turn around and say: "Careful people, Careful. There is a step up here that just comes and goes, well, maybe it was just for me, but watch out anyway!"
I don't think you have to look stupid or crazy. It really just depends on what kind of sense of humor you have and if you are willing to use it!

It's better to be crazy. Not only because the crazy are respected more than the stupid, but also because it's more fun. I should know since I'm crazy.

I would rather look stupid....every one does it at some point in their life. If a person is able to do something stupid...or natural as I would see it...we all trip up stairs at some point in life....if we aren't able to laugh at our selves and go one then...then it is a personal problem not a social problem. We all make stupid mistakes and need to learn to laugh at ourselves for it.

Crazy. There's a thin red line between be crazy and be a genius.

I would say crazy. If nothing else, you can always say that you forgot to take your medication, and people will get over it.
Unfortunately, there is no pill for stupid, yet.
