I mean, are they being racist? So they just let the ducks roast out in the oven when they shampoo cats and give them food...that's just unfair.

And those hamster bastards too! The people keep them safe when they let ducks die! There's even a "Don't feed the ducks" policy.

Kind of crash of culture!
Asian eat dogs for ten of centuries, but the westerners would screamed cruelty.Only rural people do that nowadays.
Yet lovely rabbit are eaten by (at least) some Westerners!
Cat is not a delicacy if you are now talking of domesticated one. But the wild cats such civet/ leopard/ tger...

Does a duck curl up on your lap on a cold winters night? I don't think I would ever want to eat a cat,(they are amazing creatures) but thats just because I grew up in America. If I was raised in China, perhaps I would feel differently about eating them.

Probably because more people consider cats pets than they do ducks. Cats are pets, ducks are food. That's the way most people think. Same reason more people have dogs as pets than cows. Dogs are pets, cows are food.
