some say it was a hacker some say it was the new beta testing. Why does it matter? You cant help them. All you can do is sit and wait for it to get fixed

Yahoo and Myspace use the same power grid.
Seems the Servers crashed from the new beta messenger with voice/phone option. Too many people overloaded the phone server and it crashed.

I believe that some celebrity which name I will not write here for fear of prosecution got upset that they featured BONO's question before hers and set out to destroy Yahoo and Myspace as we know them. She hired a couple of men from Bill Gates company and well you know the rest. Is amazing what money and a bit of anger can do . I am sooooooo upset ohhhhh

Servers go down. With the massive bandwidth these servers push out each day, downtime is inevitable.

There are problems with the server due to power outages in Cali.

I'm wondering the same thing, so far i've heard it was a power outage. According to MySpace their one was:
"hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom"

noone actually knows..there are rumors that yahoo is trying to fix messenger to where yahoo messenger users can chat with msn messenger users, or servers are down because of so many users.

If you haven't read already, there's been power outages due to the extreme heat.
