This is always a tricky question, and I admire you for being willing to "step out there" and allow anyone to critique your art. Of course, art is a subjective thing and everyone's opinion will differ. So please, don't attach too much importance to what I'm going to tell you.
Obviously, you have a certain level of talent. Not everyone can do a drawing that well. I think the important thing for you to realize is not whether this drawing is any good. Of course it is. But more to the point is that you have to keep practicing and honing your skills, and as a result, your work will improve dramatically. In the world of drawing, practice always makes perfect. And really important, the practice never stops. To be an artist is to do art. This is only one piece of work. When you've done about 25 more in a similar vein, look at the difference between the first and the last piece. The work always improves, in some cases, just because you've drawn it so many times. It's like being a writer. You write the same words/sentences over and over until you've got the perfect idea expressed in the best way. Keep working and most importanly, keep challenging yourself. Anyone can draw the same picture over and over...your job is to keep "upping the ante" and doing more difficult pieces.
Most young artists fail to realize that the human figure is a total construct. Draw the whole body as a unit. You can't just draw torso pictures. You have to understand how all the parts make up a whole. Learn the relationships of the body parts to the whole body. And keep drawing, as many different things as you can see. And don't worry about whether or not "you're any good." If you don't know the answer to that question, then nothing I can say will make any difference to you.

The true definition of amateur is not being compensated for your efforts. Unless you got paid, it is an amateur piece of art. However, I think you have a lot of talent, and a pretty good grip on shading and other techniques of sketching. Far better than I could ever hope to accomplish. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give it a solid 7. I've seen the sketch artists at amusement parks produce pictures that don't look nearly as good, and they still get paid. Keep drawing. Your work will improve the more you draw.
Good Luck, and don't keep your talent hidden. Share it with everyone.

Nice shading and you have a good eye for detail. The facial proportions are a little off (eyes too far apart and mouth too big), but the human face is a difficult challenge. Keep it up -- you have talent.

Not bad!! Not bad at all......just keep working on the symmetry...I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the lips...but they seem a little to big for the face...and a bit effeminate.
Your shading is really good!!
Keep up the good work.

Nicely detailed, good shadowing. I would work on facial features more(the hardest part) to capture the life force in the person, the glimmer.
