is it best to leave it at the lid or bring it up to the crease? or even over the crease, and if its better over the crease, how far up?

It depends on what kind of a look you are going for, but assuming it's for creative glamour, you should just apply it up to your crease. To make "cat eyes," smudge the color outwards and up. Because red is a very strong and wild color, you definitely don't want a very thick blob of red, so only apply a little bit.

But if you must, i would think it would look better if you went all out and had the color very sheer over the crease. It depends on what its for, though either way its a very bold statement.

hey when youre young playing with eye shadows are really fun
either use it as eyeliner or just apply it on the lid apply pink to the crease
never over do subtle is key

I personally love red eyeshadow (Paula Dorf Wild Fire) when done right! I'll wear it just on the lid, or as an accent to another shadow, usually Beauty Marked by MAC.
The key is to not go overboard!

easy on the red eyeshadow you don't want to look like drag queen
out line the edges of your eyes, only that part on the lid use a light pink on lid then outline the edges with the red , try it I do make up for a living , good luck

i know that estee lauder eyeshadow cost about 15 dollars. It is a single eyeshadow that looks really shiny and kinda cool when you open it. It s called toberuby, and I dont wear any eyeliner with it
