I want to get the new 2006 Mazda MX5 but what color should I get? Black or Red? Any suggestions?

I think red looks very sporty but the black looks luxurious.

If you get black, be sure to keep the paint up well. Never take it through an automatic car wash (the dirty brushes will scratch the paint) and be very careful when cleaning and polishing it, because black is famous as being a color that shows flaws (such as swirls, scuffs and scratches) and accident damage more than any other color available.

I know from showing cars that black is a very difficult color to maintain. It needs to be cleaned and waxed regularly, and polished on a consistent schedule.

I would choose red--because it's an attractive color on Miatas, it's more difficult to see swirls, *and* it's so much easier to maintain! ;)

BTW, Dreaming got it wrong--black cars have been statistically shown to be involved in more car accidents. Red cars simply get more tickets!

Neither Red nor Black Suits MX-5 .Get a Steel Grey Miata.It is rare as well as it looks gr8.i saw one in a Swiss Motor show and can't remember if ever seen on a road.

If you live in a hot climate like I do, here in Arizona, do urself a favor and get red because black absorbs heat. Unless you want to bake a cake in ur car during the day

Black for sure red makes you stick out like a sore thumb and the cops will more likely look for the red speeder

Just remember, RED is the first color noticed by police, BLACK isn't as quickly noticed, especially when speeding.

red so when the car is sitting in the sun it wont absorb as much of the heat as if it were a black car.
