AMERICA HAD NO PROBLEM LETTING IN IMMIGRANTS BEFORE WE HAD A WELFARE STATE.
BUT WELFARE SYSTEMS HAVE GROWN DRAMATICALLY SINCE THE 1960s.
100 YEARS AGO WHEN MY ANCESTORS CAME HERE (LEGALLY) THEY HAD TO WORK FOR EVERYTHING.
NOW, MY TAXES GO TO PAY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS HEALTH CARE. THEY GET AUTOMATIC FREE HEALTH SERVICES.
OUR PROPERTY TAXES HAVE GONE UP BECAUSE OF THE INCREASED DRAIN ON THE SCHOOL SYSTEM.
THE MASSIVE INFLUX OF POOR PEOPLE HAVE MADE MIDDLE CLASS RESIDENTS LEAVE MANY NEIGHBORHOODS. THE COMPETITION FOR THE DWINDLING NEIGHBORHOODS HAVE JACKED UP RENT PRICES.
ILLEGAL ALIENS ARE ALREADY 7% OF THE COUNTRY AND 30% OF FEDERAL PRISONERS.
AMERICA CAN NO LONGER AFFORD TO ACCEPT PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY WANT TO COME HERE.
MEXICANS HAVE NO MORE RIGHT TO CROSS THE BORDER THAN PAKISTANIS - THEY JUST DO IT BECAUSE OF THE CONVENIENCE AND PROXIMITY.
LATIN AMERICAN COUNTRIES ARE DOMINATED BY RICH ELITES, THE POOR PEOPLE IN THOSE COUNTRIES SHOULD DEMAND FREE MARKET LAWS

Yes, I have see their neighborhoods. I have all so seen a run down trailer park with plenty of Americans. (We call it a FEMA park). I have seen a big delapitated high rise in a major city (we call it "public housing")
I have even seen rows and rows of crack houses (we call it "Detroit." ) The levees around New Orleans were built by a group from a third world country (we called them irish). I am so glad American neighborhoods don't look like that.

Let's see....A Republican in in the White House, most of the judges on the Supreme Court have been put there by Republican Presidents and the Republicans control both houses of Congress, yet it is the Democrats fault the undocumented workers are crossing the border. It's not an illegal alien problem, it's an illegal employer problem. If the laws that are on the books were enforced there would be no jobs to for them to come here for. And it's not "They are doing jobs Americans won't do", it's They are doing jobs Americans can't do because they won't be hired!

if you mean why are americans letting mexicans cross the border? well let me tell you i don't know if you've been up to date but borders have been restricted since President Bush decided to send troops to guard the border of US with mexico. Ya I live close to the border and I'm a legal alien whose been here since more than 15 years, now i tell you what's wrong with people wanting to come to this country to work? what's wrong with that is it because u think they have a poor style of living or is it because you are not able to recognize that they have their resons to cross the border and look for a better chance of living..? ya many have a purpose to come maybe illegally but hey they do no harm, i agree people should be legal in order to get benefits and such but these people don't get benefits if anything some are not even paid for their job, mistreated, and some don't even make it while crossing the borders..so what's wrong if they get to cross, stay to work and return..some stay ya live in poor conditions because what they get paid is not enough for them to provide, but i seriously don't think their neighborhoods got nothing to do with the rest of the problems as far as immigration concerns..ya people should be legal this in order to stop terrorist from coming in and staying to plan further attacks, but what harm have these illegal aliens as u refer to them do? i don't get u..i would really appreciate if u respond to this..
