I had a really bad kidney infection that was misdiagnosed and left untreated for weeks. I have never felt pain like that before not even giving birth. By the time I went to the ER I was in so much pain I couldn't even wait to be seen, and as I was about to leave the doctor told me that if I left I had a good possibility of dying! I was so scared, but they gave me some medicine and I healed right up!

I can't choose between child birth, passing a kidney stone, hitting my shin on an inanimate object or ear and tooth pain. When my child was small, I cracked open my shin...and for a moment, I thought the pain was unbearable...and I swore. I had taught him to never swear, so he was confused by it. I explained to him that sometimes it is the only language that works in certain situations! I think emotional pain can be just as great. "Pain is pain" and "Suffering is suffering". It is all a matter of degrees and an individual's tolerance level. I can be a real wooz with a small injury; and then be quite stoic in more serious ones. Interesting question...thank you.

we were playing paintball. I was on the ground in the weeds and some kind of bug fell into/crawled into my ear. It was in my ear on my eardrum scratching and crawling around. It was the most intense blinding pain I have ever felt. It took me about 10 minutes to finally get to the truck so one of my friends to drive me to the hospital. I would take a few steps then the pain would hit and all I could do was fall to my knees and scream at the top of my lungs doubled over in pain. We had to stop at my house to get my wallet and while my friend was inside getting it for me I felt something in my ear, I didn't want to push it back in so i left it alone and the pain stopped then the bug fell out and flew out the window of the truck. I have no idea what kind it was but I wouldn't have thought something that small would have brought me down that hard.

TN (Trigeminal Neuralgia / tic douloureux) is a disorder of the fifth cranial (trigeminal) nerve that causes episodes of intense, stabbing, electric shock-like pain in the areas of the face where the branches of the nerve are distributed - lips, eyes, nose, scalp, forehead, upper jaw, and lower jaw. The pain is so intense that by many TN is called the "suicide disease".

A tooth with a cavity all the way to the root or contractions- tooth pain I could kill with motrin, but not the contractions ( I wasn't totally dilated either cuz I had an epidural ASAP and MORPHINE!!!).
So, I would say contractions.

Scratched my eyeball top to bottom. It never felt the same for about a year. Every now and then in the sun, I can still feel it.
