acceptablilty to one person could be grounds for a law suit for another. I'd say if you're alone and there's no chance you'd get caught, it's all a matter if you're comforatable doing it. I for one would not though
I think some of you are missing what he means by release. Im pretty sure he's talking about sexual release

Some dude I used to work with got fired for that. Not a good idea. If you're that desperate for a release just hit yourself over the head with a frying pan.

Now this made me smile. Ya' know I just don't think it's a big deal. If no one else knows then what the hell. I suppose it would depend on whether or not you work better under pressure. Ultimately the decision is up to you! :)

As long as its not too nasty smelling and dosen't stank up the bathroom - you need to have some mercy on the others in that case.

i think thats pretty gross and funny at the same time. i dont think it is work appropriate at all. i'd wait till you get home and stop looking at porn at work (jk on that very last part...)
