Because the G-forces will push you back into your seat. If for some reason you fell over (Heart attack, stroke, asthma, etc etc) and were incapable of getting up, you would be thrown from your seat and could possibly wound or kill other passangers.

Why do you put on your seatbelt in your car? Are you going to fall out of your seat? No, it's so in the event of an emergency, it'll already be on.

Same reason you wear your seatbelts in the car...too much turbulence and you smash your head into the seat in front of you. Whiplash, in space!

Actually you could. If there is a lot of ground turbulence it can make the airplane shake around a lot. I travel for a living and iIve felt it many times, especially in the summers. If the turbulence is bad enough you can get BOUNCED out of your seat!!.

Uhhhh...well you might if anything goes wrong during take off dear! It has and does happen. I hope it never happens to you, but if it does you'll be mighty glad for that seatbelt, I bet!
