I started one off sort of like that, just a friendship. Now we are really close friends and over the years we may have become almost best friends. It's not about internet, it's about calling one another by phone, sending cards in the mail, even gifts sometimes. For me I don't think of it as a "Cyber Internet friendship". A long time ago I would think of anyone who did this to be a geek or something. But honestly because of things I can't explain to you, it really has been like a gift from above that my friendship was meant to happen. I know it, and my friend has influenced my life in big ways. It is a miracle. I wish it could happen to others. It's not an internet thing,,, it's now a lifelong friendship :) And it just keeps growing

Yes, but it's always going to be missing something if you're never together physically. I have two friends who met online and were able to share everything that way, but they eventually met in person.

They're married now. That wouldn't have happened had they not met in person, I'll wager.

Sometimes... its always hard to know if its really the diffrent sex your really talking to... less you meet them or have a webcam. I personally would rather meet someone in my own town... cause I'd see 'em more and I'd know they would be how they say they are... as far as bein' a girl/boy... which I ain't gay so I hope it'd be a girl...

It can be fun and harmless.Kind of like a pen pal in the "old" days.
As long as no one is getting hurt I don't see the problem.
