If ghosts are real, why wouldn't they walk the street during day time. Why wouldn't they appear in public, rather than cornering someone alone in a dark alley.

Are they just manifestations of our fear of the unknown.

Since we aren't clear what's around when we are in the dark or at less frequented places like forests, old buildings etc.., we get scared when we are there and start imagining things!

In actuallity ghost haunt any time of the day. There has been many cases of daytime hauntings in public places (libraries, amusement parks, stores ect). The reason that the darkness haunts are more prevelant is because it makes for a good campfire story. An intelligent haunting can take place anytime anywhere. Most hauntings are what is called "place memory" or when an incident plays itself over and over. A good example is a battle at Gettysburg. While it is true that to the untrained person their imagination can create images in the dark, it is hard to use this excuse to explain daytime haunts.

I am a ghost hunter and I will go out to a site during the day or night to do my job. I have a picture of an energy orb that was taken at noon on a clear day. It is not lens flare, dust , bugs, or a bird.

The reason accourding to old legend is that when a person dies with out fofileing there life goal, or dieing in a horable manner that angers them, would normaly create a ghost. simple a soul not ready to let go, they are said to give off a dark energy and when angred can manipulate the area around them. It's normaly them geting angry that would make people not want to be around the place so it would grow old and uncared for and the house or area of this persons death would become dark and seedy looking. and are ghosts real? I personaly would say yes, my reasons be too long to explane beyond what I am saying currently. And a wounderful thing with the human mind is that we seek thrills and adventer in anyway we can, so are minds are quick to jump on the supernatrule when there is truly nothing there, a cold day on the brink of twilight can make a regular tree stump look like a demon crawling out of hell. Such is the wounders of the human mind as well. I hope someone finds this information useful

If you don't have a corporeal body you would be seen easier with less light, things are quieter and less energy being scattered about. and maybe the places are abandoned because the spirit energy made people uncomfortable.
Also, how do you know you haven't seen someone who has died, in the middle of the day? If some can keep a fairly solid appearance you might have even talked to them. I wouldn't put things down to fear just because I don't have the answer.

Preach on, most of that is crap.

However, there are some strange goings on from time to time. I have heard at least two stories from people I trust a great deal. I don't know that either of these two have lied to me about anything, so it makes it hard to discount their stories. Not anything too scary, but strange.

My man friend saw his kid brother, (died of leukemia 15 years ago) standing in the road, stopped the car and talked to his "ghost brother" and my lady friend saw her deceased neighbor a couple of years after he died, see, not scary but strange. Also, there is nothing for these two people to gain by telling these stories, so I try to keep an open mind.

Personally, I like the dark and it doesn't scare me. I grew up in the country with an old church and graveyard for neighbor on the left hand side, so that doesn;'t scare me either. Plus I think when we die we are dead, end of our story. but I do wonder where the energy goes. does it dissipate quickly or slowly.

they are supposably "demons" according to some people they come out at night because its near 3am (the devils hour) and they dont always appear at night.. and abandoned places... well they werent always abandoned... the ghosts that live there once probably owned that building at 1 time or lived there in life and are attracted to something inside it... and how do u know they arent walking the streets in the day time... most of the time you cant realyl see a ghost

Some religions would believe strongly against this, but I`m just telling you my beliefs. Ghosts are not all evil or scary or mean. Some of them are, the ones that want revenge. Ghosts are merely spirits that can`t move on because they have someting left to do on earth. Its not like some religions where you die and rise and all your problems are instantly erased. Usually if you see one you are either supposed to help him/her with their unfinished business on earth or they are showing themselves to you. Spirits can show themselves too, and they`re often mistaken as ghosts, but spirits have already moved on. That doesn`t mean they can`t be evil.

Those places because of the darkness, make us feel more alone and vulnerable than normal, and the fear makes our minds wander to areas we wouldn't normally go to. The sunshine and open spaces make us feel stronger and in comtrol of ourselves and our surroundings. With nothing to fear, our minds don't race wildly, and we feel much more invulnerable.
