Honestly it depends on how much you already weigh, and how tall you are. Plus, how good of shape you are in, and your metabolism.

The healthy way, eating in moderation, all of the food groups and exercising daily, you should be able to lose 10-15 pounds. There are more unhealthy ways to lose more, but I will not be endorsing those in this answer!

You could lose up to 7 lbs the first week and then about 3 lbs a week after that. Realize that most of the 7 lbs is actually water weight. This can be accomplished by eating 2 meals a day and no snacks. This may not be the healthiest way but it worked for me

Realistically, and healthily speaking, you should only try to loose about 8-12 pounds a month. This depends on what you body composition is right now. Lets say you are on the heavy side, and you need to lose 50 pounds, then you should aim to lose about 2-3 lbs per week. This way, you are losing fat not water, you are not starving yourself and still taking in the required nutrients to stay healthy. Any more than that, and you run the risk of a starvation diet. What happens when people starve themselves, is there body will break down fat to use as fuel, but it will also break down muscle. Your body goes into survival mode and will start shutting down systems that don't directly deal with survival, like hair production, skin growth, bone repairs, muscle rebuilding. You will lose weight, but you will look and feel unhealthy (see Nicole Richie at the peak of her dieting). Then when you do start eating, your body goes into gorge mode - because it is afraid that you won't get food again for a long period of time. Your body pushes you to stuff your face with as much nutrient and calorie rich foods as possible (read: junk food, fried foods, etc.). You will likely gain all the weight back, and then some so that your body has that extra cushion, in case of another "drought" in the food supply.
How to lose weight is a long answer. There are a lot of different methods. One is eat more often (not more). If you eat 6 times a day (in between meal snacks, and more balanced meals), your blood sugar levels will stay more balanced, and you won't get that crash you feel right before lunch and dinner that makes you want to stuff your face with whatever is in front of you. Drink more water. Often times, when we are tired, or hungry - it is not because we need food, it is because we need liquids. Water helps regulate every system in the body, including those that create the energy that keeps us moving. So, if we don't have enough water, we can feel run down and lethargic. It could also make us want to eat anything around that has liquids in it - fruits, snacks, etc. So drink water, even when you are not thirsty.
Another tip is eat more protein and less carbs. Americans tend to overdose on carbs. We think that a serving of pasta is the size of a plate. 1 serving of any carb is no bigger than your clenched fist. Also, if you increase your protein intake it will cause you to burn more energy and store less. The reason why, is because of a process called deamination, the body can convert protein into carbohydrates (the fuel that runs the body). However, deamination takes more energy, thus you get less calories left over to store (i.e. turn into fat) from eating protein.
Last tip - decrease your fats. While it is true we need fat to survive, we get plenty when we eat a balanced diet. There are 9 calories per each gram of fat, while there is only 4 calories per carbohydrate and protein. (Alcohol has 7 calories per gram, so no drinking binges).
The bottom line is, if you are doing it right, you should feel better from your dieting (and exercise) program.

If you have a LOT LOT LOT of willpower and self control, you can lose 30 pounds by fasting. Contrary to popular belief, fasting is NOT bad for you if you only do it once in a long while. But you have to come out of it veeeery gradually if you don't want to gain it back. If you fast, stick to only non-caffienated fluids, as much water as you can.

If you DO NOT WANT TO FAST, you can just cut 500 calories out of your daily intake and exersize EVERY DAY, you can lose 5 pounds per week.

Well you could loose up to 30 in a month. But I would not advise in doing that because it will lead to many health problems. The best way is to loose 1-2 pounds in a week. Doing it slowly is the best way and the healthy way to be.

The healthiest way is to lose about 2-3 pounds a month. Any more and then you will just gain it all back.

So in about a month, you can lose 10-15ish pounds.

Weight Watchers is great. You can lose about 2 lbs per week which is reasonable. Possibly more but it is better to play it safe.

about 1-2 kilos assuming no exercise, and take out the following from your diet: sugar (in all forms), salt, anything with wheat and gluten, anything with preservatives and additives. Also, try to get something that will help your bowels move regularly, like Metamucil.
