Most of the newer horror movies are just stupid and not scary at all, the only really scary movie in my opinion was the Exorcist, the Freddy and Jason movies are just dumb. I love the Underworld movies, but they aren't scary. Blair witch was totally sucky as well as the Fog, but the worst scary movies are those ones that come on the sci-fi network.

by that, i guess you mean a horror movie that did not even spook me a bit, right? ooookkkaaaayyy.... i have seen a lot of horror movies and i like the ones that give me some chills because that's what they're intended to do.

i would have to go with dead alive. it's mostly all gore all the time. it's the worst. but even if it's the worst movie for me, i still sort of enjoyed it because i'm also trying to put myself in the writer's shoes or the director's at that (remember, it's peter jackson).

freddy vs. jason? i think it was half-baked... so there. :)

Dracula 3000 - absolute worst!! Too bad to be good! Laughably bad, but not funny! Unfortunately, you'll have to see it to understand just how bad it is.

See!
Dracula 3000
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Dracula 3000 is a horror movie that brings the legend of Dracula into outer space in the distant future (particularly, the year 3000). The movie can generally be referred to as a B-movie in that it had a relatively low budget, and a direct-to-video release. It is also rated a mere 1.9/10 on IMDB and 0% on RottenTomatoes, making it statically not only the worst movie to ever bear the name of Dracula, but also one of the worst movies ever made."

I have a bad habit of renting really godawful horror movies on a whim.
1) Parents (http://imdb.com/title/tt0098068/): I rented this all the time when I was younger. :| I think it was a scam by PETA to turn children into vegans.
2) Mortuary (http://imdb.com/title/tt0415167/): I rented this with some friends and it turned into a "Die Denise Crosby" screamfest. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
3) House of 1000 Corpses: I didn't bother with a link, but it wasn't too bad until about the last 40 minutes. Then the director and myself lost complete interest.
4) Uwe Boll movies: Just cuz.

Darkness Falls... Aside from a creepy sort of backstory, everything following the opening scene is ridiculous. A killer tooth fairy? The way-too-old-for-that-speech impediment-to-be-cute kid? The complete and utter lack of anything even remotely frightening? Even the jump scenes don't work (and I usually think of those as cheap shots...) There's no atmosphere, no mood, no character, nothing. Without a doubt one of the flattest movies I've ever seen.

I agree, Freddy vs. Jason was very creepy... but I'd have to say "Texas Chainsaw massacre" is the scariest one I've seen... or maybe it's because I watched it alone? I don't know, but it freaked me out for weeks!! good luck.

I haven't seen a lot of scary movies, but the scariest one that i've seen is "When a Stranger Calls". That movie wasn't even scary just suspensful.

The worst was "The Blob". The scariest, IMO, is Jeepers Creepers or Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Hands down...The Blair Witch Project. What the heck was that about?! Oh my gosh we're in the woods and something is chasing us and we can't act... The only part that was remotely eerie was when whatever was banging on the outside of the tent. Other than that, it was a steaming pile of dung.
