Yes, clots are normal with menstruation. The uterus goes through a period during a woman's cycle in which it builds up a layer of tissue in preparation for pregnancy. If this does not happen, the lining is shed, and some of it may appear as clots, however, since the bleeding is not from actual blood vessels, these clots are nothing to worry about.

Depending on age/health...they seem to be quite normal. The best advice I can give is to see your doctor. Mine usually hit on the 2nd day of my usual 7 day cycle. Tylenol or Motrin (Ibuprofen) can be taken for pain. Motrin works great, but also increases blood-flow. You might try www.webmd.com. It's a great resource...but ASK YOUR DOCTOR.

yes it is very normal and after you have kids it normally gets a little heavier,at least with me and several of my friends it did! I take pamprin or midol it helps really well. Dont take asprin thought it thins your blood making u bleed more!

You know you might want to check with your Gyno....but i always had them...i had very hard periods...more-so as a teenager
