I've kept the best cassettes, those that bring back memories and stuff. And I think it's good to move on to digital, but this thing is gonna keep evolving until we're gonna laugh at the sight of a CD.
You could sell them. Or burn them. Or throw them to people who annoy you, that would be funny too, it's like a plus.

I still have all my old cassettes, and I totally buy new ones, partly because my car is old and doesn't have a CD player, and because they are cheaper. Some people have moved on, but there will always be people who are into the old school technology. If you still listen to your old ones then I say keep them, there's no reason to throw out good music, if not have a yard sale, kuz like I said, some people are still into them.

I don't remember the last time I saw a cassette in a shop, and I stopped buying cassettes on a regular basis nearly 10 years ago.

There will be albums that will never be available on CD, so it is probably wise to keep them, unless songs are available online.

If you keep cassettes, you should do the following annually: fast forward the tape, then rewind it to ensure the tape is evenly wound.

Yes, I have like a zillion dozen of them. I don't buy them because they aren't at sale anymore. Besides, what will be the point of that, yes, we are at a digital era completly set up. Still I bought a CD player with tape deck incorporated to listen to my tapes now and then, they bring back so many nice memories, you should keep yours too!!!

I have actually moved on to CDs; however, I have saved the Best (to my liking) of the cassettes. I am now considering downsizing them. Once I take inventory of exactly what I am willing to sell, would you, or someone you know, be interesting in knowing?

I still have lots of cassettes because I don't have a CD player in my car, and a couple of them are from local bands in my hometown that I bought at shows - nostalgic value :)

I have a few hundred but I don't buy them anymore. A lot of mine are personal "Best Ofs" made from several tapes by the same artists. You can do this and then give away the original tapes. This way you have the artists best songs together on one tape in the order of preference.

I still have my old cassettes as well as my old records and 8-tracks. If your cassettes are in good condition, trade them or sell them. If you have players for them as I have for mine, then keep them and continue to enjoy them.
