How old is she? I'm sad to say that if she is old, this could be a sign that shes ready to pass. My guinea pig acted the same way before she died. Do you have another guinea pig or small rodent that is in a cage nearby hers? Guinea pigs are very social creatures and will escape their cages in order to be with someone else. My guinea pig Baby (her name) squeezed through the bars of her cage to be with Patches (another female guinea pig). It also could just be something internally like she is sick. Your best bet would be to take her to the vet and have her looked at.

Also guinea pigs have sensitive digestive tracts. She could have an upset stomach. Try feeding her grass/hay specialized for guinea pigs. This usually helps some of their stomach problems.

Good luck.

Definitely take her to the vet right away. Once guinea pigs stop eating and drinking, it is very likely that they will not start eating or drinking again!!!! The vet will probably give you a syringe with the needle part taken out that you can fill with water to try to get it to drink. But make sure that your guinea pig is getting vitamin C, especially if it is sick! I can't stress that enough. You can get chewable vitamin C tablets at the drugstore. Give it one per day.

I have one. He's a 4-5 year old pig. Some times he eats a lot and sometimes not. I think he got spoiled w/ too much fresh food.

You don't mention how long your pig has not been eating. Mine once jumped from my daughter's arms and broke it's teeth off in the fall to the floor. I had to chop up it's fresh food in little bites so he could eat it for about a week. Check your Pig's mouth to make sure it's teeth are still intact. If they don't have anything to gnaw on their teeth get too long and then it is difficult to eat too.

Get her to the vet asap.

Has she been fed any potatos? If so she will be dead in 12 hours.
Check her teeth, she could have malocclusion in the back and its hurting her to eat or drink but only a vet can fix it.
