I think that it would be great. As long as the child has loving supportive parents. So many children have horrible parents, that are straight.

I don't have an intellectual opinion on this one. I just have experience. One of my good friends from my childhood was raised by a lesbian couple. He turned out just fine--actually he is probably the kindest guy I've ever met. He has his own wife and child now and they're doing great.

Maybe having a mom and dad is the best arrangement for kids, as opposed to having two moms or two dads. I wouldn't presume to say. However those kids being adopted are already without that. Moreover having two good homosexual parents beats the hell out of having one or two bad heterosexual parents.

My parents were regular heterosexual people. Their sexuality didn't have much to do with my upbringing (this is a good thing). I don't think sexual preference matters as much as a committment to being good parents.

The folks who always have judgements for how others live their lives will probably have all kinds of reasons why homosexuals shouldn't be allowed to adopt or raise children. I don't give their arguments too much credit because most of them think homosexuals are perverts, child molesters, or just evil. I know that isn't true and so does anyone who actually knows and interacts with gay people.

I just want to be objective about this question. I don't think so because children will grow up confused about sexuality. They need both a male and female figure in their lives. Each plays a role in raising and educating their children. When the pattern is upset or changed, the childs personality doesn't develop normally. You see this now, with single parenting. The lack of one parent has upset the pattern in todays society. This is just my opinion but specialists that have researched on this may have empirical evidence on this issue that can be of substancial value, more than just public opinions. Thank-you

Yes I think it is alright. Although on one hand, they may be confused about sexuality, they may also simply be more open to different orientations. In the big picture, as long as the two partners love each other and are committed to raising the child in a loving environment and are able to provide for the child, than it is just fine. That's more than alot of straight couples can provide.

Is it alright? Yes, it's better to be in a loving environment than to be in a government home. Is it the BEST environment to raise children? No, a home with a mother and father is the BEST environment.

I tend to lean in the direction that children need both a mother and father.

Some would make good parents, some would not. There should not be a policy to prohibit all gays/lesbians from adopting.

No, better they sponsor kids, but not adopt. Kids can be adopted only to a family.

Any family proved fit and loving, conventional or unconventional - should be acceptable parents for raising a child.

I want children raised in homes with love. What people do behind their bedroom doors isn't my business or anyone elses.
