Is grafiiti art or a felony? back in the day, even police officers did graffiti. now its all so serious. All these open spaces can be used for graffiti workshops. not all people do illegal things, but they dont care, they arrest us anway. By the way, I dnt conndone to illegal graffiti. I do legal murals.

AAAAnd some people want us to do a mural or a piece, but then when they pay them, after a few days they call the police.

A lot of times it can be really well done and I wish it weren't illegal but I understand that it has to be so that people don't get their property defaced and because some of it is just people marking their territory. What I wonder, is why all the really talented graffiti artists can't just do legal murals (like you). Then everyone would be happy.

Some use Graffiti as art and I have seen some that is Very beautiful and brightens the entire area However there is the bad eliment aka Gangs ect that simply use graffiti to mark terriotory or simply use it to deface property. Unfortunatlely in todays world get lumped in with the same group doing damage.

both, it is often wonderful art, but it is also marking of territory by gangs, and they actually kill people over where they mark.
Also it defaces private property of people who don't want it on thier buildings ( owner rights) and on some signs and other road markers, it harms driver safety.
I beleive there should be an outlet for this type of art.

I think grafitti as a politcal statement should be respected. I don't see the political statement in all the tagging, to me it's just young men pissing to mark their territory, I don't like seeing it everywhere, it's a pretty big problem here in San Francisco.

I am a artist this is how I feel...
Art if it for artistic expression YES GOOD marking gang territory NO BAD.

I did it when I was a kid, it's definitely a crime, nobody wants to see it and only kids think it's cool.
