I know myspace is down but does anyone know the reason?

This is what I got the last time I tried to access it:
hey everyone! there's been a power outage in our data center. we're in the process of fixing it right now, so sit tight. hopefully we'll be back online within the hour. its 6:40pm PST now. wanna place a bet? -Tom

Anyone else find it odd that Myspace and Yahoo Messenger are down at the same time?
Maybe someone is planning an attack on the internet and these 2 big sites are the test attacks.
What do you think?
I heard theres a virus problem and this is all a cover up

Yes myspace is down... It was down last night and then today i got on and tom had posted a message that their was a power outage (or something) that affected some people and that it messed up myspace and hes got to fix it..... I just tryed to get on and its down again.... this is the message i get....
Login is temporarily disabled while we fix some database problems. We'll be back shortly. 7/23/2006

people this is not jus odd yahoo and myspace went down at same time. Let me put it this way, the free service you all have been used to is about to change. This has been in the works for awhile now. Its actually smart, get millions of people using your service then whamo! Make it a paid to use service. Sorry to break the news everyone!
