I don't go with the libs on everything, but for people who talk about how precious life is, you all have sure gotten a lot of iraqis and american soldiers killed, you seem to think the poor deserve to be poor, and all you care about is wealth and power....namely yours.
And please don't tell me about how many jobs have been created. If you don't count Wal-Mart, 7-11, and fast food chains, that blows a huge hole in the job gains.

The libs have gotten their share of people killed; what about the mass killings in Iraq on their watch, or in Kosovo, in the Congo, etc.
The problem they have is that they have snowed themselves. By using every action by their political opponents as an opportunity for political gain they have forgotten a basic truth: For evil to triumph, it is only necessary that good men do nothing.
While statements that the poor deserve to be poor are provocative, like graffiti they serve no one. What conservatives really say, before it is twisted, is that we should work to create equality of opportunity. There is no fair way to create equality of result; if there are no losers there can be no incentive to win. Conservatives have: caused the breakup of the Soviet empire and rollback of nuclear threat, reduction (several times) of tax rates, and at least some resistance to government growth into a dictatorship.

Ok, since the "conservatives" on this board cannot think of one good thing, it will take a liberal to point them out for you.

1.Institution of term limits.
2.Along with President Clinton and Vice President Al Gore, fiscal conservatives reduced the size of national government after 50 years, and 9 presidencies of increased bureaucracy.
3.They provide a voice for strict constitutionalism, which provides for a protection of the voice of the minority, but notably not minorities. Funny eh?
4.Fiscal conservatives usually push for trade agreement like NAFTA and CAFTA which are usually lopsided towards making goods cheaper for U.S. consumers. True there are many affects to the American society, but that is whole different question.
5.Social conservatives push for a bit more volunteerism and civic duty. This has resulted in the creation and support of ideas like Peace Corps and Freedom Corps, which tends to help the less fortunate and bolster U.S. opinion around the world.
6.Fiscal conservatives in the 1940’s and 1950’s supported the idea of restructuring the bank codes and implementation of the FDIC.
7.They support the military industrial complex. This allows for… well if I need to tell you.
Well I looked and looked, even on the GOP.com their history of achievements ends in the 1920’s. So, here you go some hard core accomplishments of the conservative movement. Just remember conservatives tend to keep the status quo, and lasting changes are not likely to be prevalent and legislation for new change is hard to find.

Also, do not fall into the trap of democrat and republican did this and that. There are conservative democrats and liberal republicans. Party affilitation does not determine poltical leanings.

3. Kept our nations economy out of a recession passed along by the Bill Clinton era.
4. Fought for parents rights to be informed of their childrens medical decisions.

Other high points in history.

Republican Party: 138-34 (80%-20%)
Democratic Party: 46-22 (68%-32%)
Republican Party: 27-6 (82%-18%)
The Senate Version, voted on by the House:

That's just a few things of the top of my head.

Conservatives don't cause these things to happen. Conservatives tend to allow the market freer reign; is it the fault of the market or the fault of the Conservatives? Yes, I do agree there should be some assistance to balance out the gaps in wealth, but government intervention is not the whole answer.

I can't think of what they have done, I think if the conservatives in the world and this country continue to hold power, it will mean the near extermination of the human race. Sadly good and decent people are misled under the impression that conservative leaders actually care about them or their country due to their skill at making it look like that.

Republicans have...
Ended slavery in the United States.
Destroyed the Soviet Union.

Fixed the economy Carter ruined.
And built THOUSUNDS of hospitals, schools, and other civic buildings in Iraq.

If Bill Clinton would have had his britches up where they belonged in the oral office and stopped Bin Laden when he had the chance, GWB wouldn't be taking all your flak while having to take care of business the way it should have been done in the first place !!!!!

Can't you see how great things are? The poor are getting poorer, the rich are getting richer, and our wise leader is ridding the world of as many of those heinous nonchristians as possible. Isn't it great to be an American?
