Has anyone else ever fell in love with a guy that you chatted with online. Ive never met him and we have been chatting online for about a year, and a month ago we revealed our feelings for each other. He will be back in the states the first of sep. Have I completely lost my mind? And is it ok for me to say I love you, or should I wait on that?

i know exactly how you feel my friend i fell in love with is in newzealand and its rough says he coming down in end of sept we will see if he does or doesnt if he doesnt screw it if he does then i know he cares gl hun

I've met people of the opposite sex from online, and in every instance, it was not what I thought it would be. I had an instance similar to yours where the guy and I talked for a long time, exchanged pictures, talked on the phone, etc, and we did it for a long time. But when we finally met, there was just no spark at all. And before we met, we had both been SO SURE we were meant for each other.
Just don't get your hopes up, and once you meet him, don't try to "make" it work if it's obvious that it's not meant to be.

The internet has been the place for a lot of people to find love.. There's nothing wrong with falling in love with someone based on only communication online or on the phone.. Just be careful of where you meet him and good luck :)
