I myself am a collector. i have many of my own fans, two of my favorite being a 16'' brass Robbins & Myers from the 20's and an 8'' Emerson Northwind from 1916.

in Visual Arts rather than Hobbies and Crafts.Because antique fans are beatiful all on their own! If you haven't had the pleasure of seeing a Silver Swan or an R & M or even a Peerless, you haven't lived!

My grandmother has an antique shop, I have seen a few fans there and I am always drawn to them. I am going to ask for one for Christmas. Thank you for letting me know that I am not the only one that finds them visually stunning.

I have a thing for vintage lamps ok so we are both nuts but I have been so tempted to buy fans they are so elegant all those perfect curves.
