Why is the butterfly so hard to learn and do? For some reason Its really hard for me to do for some reason! LOL!

Its a really hard stroke to learn!!! Running out of air to quickly??Yeah thats what the hard part is.Try strength training with butterfly curls.20 lb weights work really good.

well butterfly is the hardest. i still have trouble with it myself. but i think the best thing to do is join the swim team, but if you are not in high school, then take lessons. keep practicing and when you dont get something, as the teacher or coach for help.

sorry if this sounds bigoted, but the butterfly requires major upper-body strength, and has always been a man's stroke. there are still differences between the sexes, even today.

nOOOooOooooooooOo butterfly is the fastest and easiest 4 me come on when you are in a swimming pool ask someone who knows swimming well

The fly takes coordinating your stroke movements of when to use the kick and force you up out of the water and utilizing your arms to come forward and pull. My suggestion to you is to observe people who execute the fly correctly and practice on your own. It is a beautiful stroke. Don't give up!

LOL.. your best bet then is swimming classes. It's odd this is the hardest for you since it seems to be the easiest for most. Good luck!

well it was really hard at first but i just practiced dolphin dives and then i got better...especially at the end of this season! but im really bummed bcuz we just had divisionals yesterday and our banquet so i dont get to swim it in any meets this year!

do more strength training. you will need a great amount of strength especially your arms strength to pull yourself when you do butterfly stroke.
