Heartburn can lead to more serious complications like esophageal erosion or even some sources are pointing to cancer. See a doctor if you can. Eat slower which can decrease the likelihood that you may be swallowing air causing a lack of CO2 in which the imbalance may cause hiccups. Make a note of any foods may be causing the heartburn and avoid them. In the meantime take over the counter Zantac, or Prilosec and use tums or Maalox for immediate relief I hope you get the help you need and get better soon. This can lead to major problems in your future. These days, you shouldn't have to suffer..

How long have you had this heartburn? how old are you? I would talk to your doc. Because i am 22 years old and have had horrable heartburn as long as i can remember. And now I have gallstones. And have to have surgery to remove my gall bladder. Im not trying to scare you, but my doc says that the heartburn was a sign of the gallbladder problem. So i would ask about that. But all i can say is avoid the foods that give you heartburn..

Take zantac for rapid relief in about an hour. Take prilosec for long term relief, but it doesnt work for several days and you have to keep taking it. Both are over the counter medications. If that doesn't do it, you need to see a doctor.

the heart burn is cause by excess acid so drink some thing that neutralise acid water, milk and so on.don`t drink things that can cause it coke, too much orange most fizzy drinks and quite a few fast foods and and crisp can cause it too.there is also a valve on your stomach that could have a problem letting the acid coming out in the first place consult a doctor
