I love Terry Pratchett's Diskworld series; lots of great characters, but I'd have to say my favorite is Susan Sto Helit. She's Death's granddaughter (yes, *that* Death, the skeletal guy with the scythe), works as a schoolteacher, and gets called on now and then to save the world.

Atticus Finch from the book and movie To Kill a Mockingbird. Loyal, intelligent, honest, quietly courageous, and a good shot. Played to perfection by Gregory Peck. Best book-to-movie ever.

i have a lot of favorite characters from movies that i enjoy, some of them include: simba , from lion king, because he's really funny,especially when he's with timon , pumbaa , and nala, jack ryan from the jack ryan movies [played by harrison ford] as well as air force one [also by harrison ford] because both the jack yran character [in the jack ryan films] and his president character [in air force one] can get the job done right, and, the other most brilliant character that i enjoy, toon wise, besides simba in lion king, is aladdin in the movie aladdin, along with his monkey abu, and princess jasmine and rajah, who is my other favorite character besides abu
