Congratulations on being a new mommy! Unfortunately, these stretch are doomed to be around forever...and the only permanent way to remove them is via surgery. However, you can start smoothing them out now with olive oil...as this is the only oil that is absorbed by the skin. Remember, Cleopatra used to use it...and so does the wife of Mick Jagger...not to mention my own mom. Using oilve oil on your body, after a while, gives you that beautiful golden tan color, as well as hydration for the skin...so much more effective than any lotion will claim to be.

I've heard the only real way to get rid of them is by getting a tummy tuck. I've heard cocoa butter and everything just reduces it a little.

Sorry, sweetie, no one ever "gets rid" of them, but they do fade significantly over time. Try Mederma, or vitamin E capsules or oil. Silica, taken internally can help, too. Good luck!

And congratulations on becoming a mommy!!!!!
