my initial suggestions are as follows "duh" "whatever" and all overly abbreviated words such as plz ty lol (esp*) all these words words do is limit our usage of altenative words and require little imagination , not to mention our descriptive abilites
pointing out the obvious fact that words could not be banned do little to aid

Impossible. (And I mean ban that word). Nothing is impossible, everything is possible.

And words that require the usage of spacing or *** to replace their accurate spelling as they would be deleted by Y.A.

If people would only realize how beautiful writing and the ability and skills that could be developed by writing - the speed and accuracy in keyboarding if they gave up the shorthand, then job placement would be so much easier.

My father, retired at the end of the last semester upon having a heart attack -- the notes the kids sent to him were atrocious as they were written in abbreviations that they use on the computer - when I mentioned this to my Dad, he said they turn in essays and term papers this way as well - I know if I were a teacher, there would be some really poor grades - then I heard my college professor state he was retiring, as the President of our Jr. College asked that the teachers no longer count "computer abbreviations" as misspelled words, so that there would be fewer failing students. I'm sorry. Since when do we cater to shorthand instead of propriety?

If a word is banned, it will only make people want to use it more. Just let the phrase run its course, eventually people will get tired of using it.

Personally, I like to see a stoppage of questions that start with "Why don't you..." To be honest, this is a very indicting way of making a suggestion, and I reel when I hear that. I much rather hear "How about" or "What if" as they are far less threatening.

Am I missing the question? "duh" is not a word...whatever is a very useful word..."Whatever you do, don't touch that bare electrical wire!"...as far as plz,ty and lol..they are not words they are just people who are looking for shortcuts in life! It would be my guess that these people also play the lottery!!
