My first reaction was " The parody, 'Give War A Chance' ! " Not that I like war, but I tend to find too many anti-war/peace songs sappy and naive. ( Gee, if we all just hold hands and sing Kumbaya, the [insert appropriate ethnic groups here] will stop fighting and live in peace ! )

Upon further reflection, I've always appreciated Mytilene's Reprieve by Zeke Hoskin. Now there's a song about some people doing something positive, and extraordinary, to stop the stupidity of war. Fighting to acheive peace is one thing, but killing for revenge is just stupid. And risking your lives to save others, now THAT is inspiring !

I love "Imagine" by John Lennon. I really like the message it sends.

I also like "Sorrow" by Bad Religion. (I know the title doesn't sound like a peace song, but the actual message of the song is definitely peaceful.)

John Lennon's "IMAGINE."

Saw a clip of John sitting at a white piano playing and singing his song alone. The conviction in his voice was stunning. Beautiful.
