i love kids and i thought about being a social worker or something, but that doesnt pay well and my parents dont want me to suffer financial-wise.

What about a pediatrician? At least you'd always have a job, and if you want to volunteer your services, they'd be invaluable.

I know we pay $95/hour for our daughter to talk to a counselor about her body issues. But you'll hear and see a lot of messed up stuff doing that.

If you love kids, get your teaching degree and then keep continuing your education. You could then publish books and go into administration, etc....

Working as a social worker or child care provider will not make you rich. The previous poster was right, you have to love the kids to do that.

As a certified Teacher. Other jobs that you describe don't pay well at all. You have to love kids and not the money.

A teacher who is qualified to the teach IB curriculum can work in fancy-schmancy private schools and get paid a lot.

Probably a child psychologist/psychiatrist would be one of the best paying jobs.
