the best is a good, stable online experience. If the PS2 is any indication of how the PS3's online play is going to be, it's going to be rough waters. But Xbox 360 has a good stable online experience already up and running and their network mainframe was put to an excellent test when Halo 2 came out, and it was handled well.
Oh, by the way, the Wii is going to use WiFi for wireless internet gaming.

I'm not sure what you mean, but it doesn't matter if it is "free" or "ultimate" if the game you are playing sucks.
