These type of stains are harder to get out if you put the item in the dryer after washing it. Drying it sets the stain even more. I have found that using dawn dish detergent on the grease and letting it set for a day before washing it has always worked. My daughter got axle grease on a dress and I used some kinda Orange cleaner on it and it worked great. Also goop and works too.

I hope you didn't dry it because that will make the stains more difficult to remove. Try some Dawn dishwashing liquid and let it soak for a little while, this has gotten grease stains out of my clothes before.

Look in the laundry aisle in a grocery store, there should be specialty stain removers. Look for yellow bottles about 4 inches tall by Carbona called Stain Devils. There is one made specifically for grease. It works really well.

try going to about.com or oxiclean.com
this is what oxiclean says:
For light grease stains:
Pretreat with Triple Power StainFighter.
Launder in the warmest water recommended on the garment using Triple Power StainFighter with your detergent.
For heavy grease stains:
Place garment face down on clean paper towels.
Apply Triple Power StainFighter to the back of the stain.
Blot with paper towels; replacing towels frequently.
Rinse.
Let air dry.
Launder in the warmest water recommended on the garment, adding a capful of Triple Power StainFighter to boost your detergent's power

u should not have washed it. u should have put baby powder all over the stain. it would have soaked up all the grease. then u would wash it out. too late now. Go out and get a better dress!

Presoak the stains with a good detergent, and you might want to rub them a bit using club soda too. Then wash the garment in hot water and it should come out clean.
