I was on the pill for 6 years and I've been off the pill for over a month and a half. Currently my fiance and I are trying to conceive our first. I was getting cramps on my right side for a few days around the time I would of normally ovulated and when my fiance and I had intercourse it felt extremely different. Could this mean that I was ovulating?

Possibly, every body is different, when I ovulate I usually have unusual cramping, and am often much more turned on than usual. If u have regual cycyles (28-30 days) u should ovualte exactly 12-14 days into your cycyle. Your cycle begins the first day of your period. Good luck on getting pregnant!!!

I was on the pill for 6.5 years too, and when we are on the pill we do not ovulate, the hormones on the pill keep you from ovulating, so you did not ovulate in 6 years. Now that you have quit it, your body has to start ovulating, so that is why the cramping, yes cramping is a sign of ovulation. When I quit the pill it took me 6 weeks to get my first period, then I got pregnant on that cycle. Sex felt more enjoyable without the pill because my body was priducing cervical mocus, I did have a lot of changes in my body after I quit the pill and sometimes you wonder if it is normal, but it is just you getting back to normal. Good luck TTC!!

nope. best way to tell when you are ovulation is to buy one of those kits. They work wonders. I tried for 3 months with no results. I started using the kit. Got pregnant on the first try. The kits come with 10 testers so you like start using them 10 -15 days after your period. (after you are off the pill) and you will know when your window is open
