People vote their identity, not their best interest. They believe that if they vote like the rich, who have everything, that sooner or later, they'll have everything too. It NEVER works that way, but they keep trying.

On top of that, the Republicans have milked the religious machine more often and more completely than the liberal democrats. They have sold themselves as the MORAL and ETHICAL party in this country when it couldn't be further from the truth.

Hmm... I think I starting leaning towards conservatism when I was about seven, and saw the Annie Lennox video where she has a crew cut and is dressed like a man, and I said, "damn, that ain't right."

Then when I was about twelve, I saw the first 45 seconds of the Rocky Horror picture show. Again, I said, "****, that is so wrong."

Then Bill Clinton came along and pretty much blew away any chance I had of ever wanting to be a liberal.

See, even Neocons have a sense of humor...

I found your post to be very enlightening regarding the reasons why people should not be Republicans... (joke) ... :)

If this is the level of discourse by Democrats, this is indeed a good argument for intelligent people to be Republicans... (joke, again)...

I speak as a moderate...

Cordially,
John

They are the more mentally diminished of the population, they vote not on intelligence but because somebody told them to. They are not allowed to think for themselves but that might be a good thing because if they did they might hurt themselves, instead of the country.
