there was a contests with Scholastic for young authors and one of the winners was a group of first graders who wrote either about some wolves or coyotes or some sort of wild dog or about 9-11. The 9-11 one has a big picture of the sun on it.

Not sure... S.E. Hinton wrote The Outsiders when she was 16 years old. Does that help?

i say anyone who can write a story can be titled as an author. so if an infant can write down a story, so be it.
