OK first, I am NOT racist. My husband is Samoan, his children are black and I am white. I see all these people talking about how proud hey are of their races and thats COOL! There are clubs with like, Black power or Hispanic pride.. etc. Now, I am NOT proud of what white people have done to scar races of the past but, how unfair that there isnt some sort of club I could join without being called a racist or something like that. If I was racist than I wouldn't be with my loving and wonderful husband of 6 beautiful years and I also wouldn't know his awesome children either. They have made my life all the better. When I see them or ANY other race... I dont see color, I see people. I know there are going to be alot of people mad at this and I apologise but just set me strait ok? I want to be proud of who I am too without all the awful, unforgivable things of the past. Did I even ask a question?...lol. I guess its more of a statement really.

First of all you belong to the club that has all of the perks in this world, so why do you want to join another? Be who you are, a good decent person, who happens to be white. There is nothing you can do to change yourself, just as there are many, millions, of good decent who happen to be of every other race on the planet, and can't do a thing about it. (Not even Michael Jackson.) If more people were just good and decent and didn't see color the world would be much nicer. Second, as a white person, especially one with a multi-racial household you have the power to effect change in your neighborhood, your school system, etc. Use that power, change the world for the sake of your kids. There is nothing wrong with being proud of being white, the wrong comes when whites try to pretend like nothing is wrong with past atrocities and that those atrocities have no bearing on the present. You don't seem to feel that way, so just relax and stay aware. Maybe you will find that club or group you're looking for, or maybe you already have.

I agree, it's sad that we have to be afraid of being white or we're instantly labeled regardless of how we feel about other races - but the bottom line is - there are many races - and we are all alike and different - and I am not responsible for what someone other than myself has done to someone else. I am responsible for what I do. However, other races, at least to me it appears, find that I should be responsible even though I may or may not have a clue what they are referencing or who they are talking about, etc. This is where the ACLU and various others have forgotten that individuals make choices and individuals have to be accountable for the choices they have made, regardless of the color of their skin, the choice of their faith or religion, the educational level they have or do not have, the type of job they have or car they drive. I am white with a heritage of Native American descent, Irish, German, and small amounts of various others the further back the history line goes - I am proud to be who and what I am - it is how God made me. I hurt for people that feel that they cannot be proud of who they are because of their outter appearance - that is not the part that God looks at - and if we would stop focusing on that part and focus on the heart of people, then we would find that we don't need multi-culturalistic agendas shoved down our throats - they've divided, not brought together - and unfortunately when you study their origins, that was their purpose - to divide - because then we can have civil discord and with civil discord we can claim rights and mandates that are for a few but not all, which is in direct contradiction to our constitution, and it is this very contradicition that leads to the ever widening discension we see in the races, instead of the "coming together" we were told would happen - but until their is a great civil discension we cannot become a federally ran nation - which brings us back to history - the civil war was over if states had the rights to make their own laws or if they had to follow the laws of the federal government - states rights won out - but we're rapidly losing all states rights under the name of multi-culturalism and diversity. That means as a white person - others can label me whatever they want and I have to accept that label of me - but I dare not refer to one who is not white at all, or I will have labeled that one and I'll be judged accordingly.

I think I understand how you feel, It's lonely when you have nobody to hate. A universal club for acceptance of ppl who don't look at race or religion for that matter as long as neither ones are preachin would be an ideal club, and if we can throw in child care sign me up. I found myself lookin at a "black" girl the other day. "I'm in a small nothern town, not many others than white here" but I couldn't but help but think how beatiful her skin was, I noticed she saw me lookin at her & though later that she probably was thinkin I was thinkin ill of her just cause I think thats what most other ppl think of eachother. I would have a problem tellin you who is of race & who isn't because as sometimes it may be obvious, I am not the person who notices race. Sometimes I feel even foolish that I didn't notice. Like this week I realized that a long time ago friend was an arab, his name was alejandro, we knew eachother pretty well & I just put that together after watching Kaysars family on big brother! That kind of thing happens to me all the time cause I just don't really notice. I was with a Lakota Indian for over a year before I realized there was a red tint to his skin & realized that was why ppl catagorized them. Even he thought there was somethin wrong w/me. Theres no group for white ppl who managed to escape being influenced by hate of anything other than white, but I imagine there are many ppl of others races that might feel the same. To all of you, thank you for being true to yourselves.

I don't even understand why ppl hate other ppl, I really am so happy to have any other living soul in my presence no matter the exterior. It is disturbing that we can look at another person & have no real communication. It is only what you think & what you think the other thinks, and what the other thinks & what they think you think(did that make sense) But what did the girl think I was thinking I wonder, it would be the same as if I had looked at a person w/a beatiful shirt. But I don't know that she went home feeling good about herself like someone would have knowing they were wearing a beautifull outfit.

And if anyone really takes offense to your statement/?, then they are really not looking at anyone other than themselves!!

No there is not. Its only ok to have all black or hispanic, clubs. The white people can not. For the reason that white are racist. What you need to do is look at the past and be educated.

Yes whites did do many things to many races. BUT many other races did far worse to theyre own kind as well as to other races.

In many places it still goes on.

In the topic of slavery.....When the boats landed in Africa, who do you think where selling the slaves to the white man....Other BLACK Africans. When fighting broke out among tribes the captured ones were sold to the white man. OR They were made slaves to the tribe that captured them. So Please check your history. Many Races only hear what they want to hear.

Many blacks in the USA think that Americans were the only ones doing slavery. Fact....The French were the main supplier. Then English (UK).

I know history. So its ok to have a race based group as long as it doesnt have WHITE in the titile.

During the Vietnam war....Ask any serviceman who was there during combat. If they were POW's ask them about the torture that went on there against us.

Look now at the war in Iraq. Look what Hussan did to his own people. Look at what what the people of that region do to Americans and other national people....They CUT off the heads and show us the tape.

This is all race based Ideals of thought. To be honest. Any race based club or group is predudice just on the fact that they have more pride in their race than they do in themselfs.

A race of people didnt have any great achievment. But many people have achieve far more than any one race.

I completely agree with you and it's sad that you have to apologize because you're afraid you might offend someone. I am not racist either but it does bother me that no one is out there sticking up for the hard working white people. I never owned any slaves nor do I know any one who owned any slaves or anyone who was a slave, so that should all just be dropped. As for the Mexicans, I have worked with a number of them in the past and they are extremely hard working people, but it does get to me a little that they don't want to become citizens, just get the money and send it back home because their own government can't/won't make things better for them there. Now everyone can attack me instead of you...lol

You know i am far from racist to but i sometimes wonder the same thing i feel sometimes that we are still being punished or should i say judged by what our ancestors did something that we have no control over and i also have some best friends who are black and they ask me the same thing like they have b.e.t. my black friend once asked me wonder what would happen if we had a w.e.t. it start a whole nother situation I think that we should all be proud of who or what we are and celebrate together all races, orgins, and that other good stuff

Should it really matter at all what color your skin is, or what nation/culture you come from? I think not. Why should a person be proud of his or her skin color? No one has a choice in the matter. But you DO have a choice as to whether you will be a good or bad person.
Personally, I find groups oriented toward people of one race/nationality (to the exclusion and detriment of others), such as La Raza, just as offensive as I find a lot of "white power" groups. The principle is the same.
Dr. King put it best: We should be judged by the content of our character, not the color of our skin.

ok....i understand your point here...why this world is sooo prejudice..i dunno. And i think its cool that you are sorry for sumthin you didn't do..And i am definately not mad at your statement, but(please don't get mad at me), i guess the reason why you can't join any all white club without being called racist is becuase some people feel you guys have alot of oppritunites in America that other minoritys don't.You guys are the majority....but i still don't c why u couldn't join a club without being called racist.....i hope this helps, even if its a little bit

Well, I hate to tell you this but you are sooooooo right. There isn't a club UNLESS of course you want like a white supremest group. And I DON'T think you want to join them. BUT If you or anyone was to start a white club as your referring to with like Black power or Hispanic pride you better well believe it would be condemned right from the start. Guaranteed it would be labeled as racist.

I see what your saying. It is a bit wrong that if white people have a group they are racist and it seems we have to watch what we say. Thats what we get for the way our race treated other races in the past.
