Is there a way to close it from home?

The computers at work never shut off.

You can close it from home if you are networked with your computer at work, but most if not all ISPs, including AOL, have a security feature after so many minutes of inactivity they automatically boot you off and you have to use your password again.

you cant shut it down from home but it has a time out feature so after it sets untouched at your work for a while, like 15 min i think, and say someone comes in and sees it and tries to read your mail it will say session expired and prompt for your password. That way if something like that were to happen, people cant read your mail.

most likely yes it would stay open, especially if they never close computers at your work. only thing that might save you is if you have to log back in after a screen saver pops up.

however if no one is in the office, then no one will see it either.
