Try a liquid instead. If you haven't used it before, practice because it will be hard at first but you'll get it right in a couple tries. Also, you may want to switch to brown or something subtler during the summer than black because if it does smear, it won't be so obvious. For back up, carry some Q-tips with you, they work like miracles for smudgey eyes.

I enjoy the Mary Kay liquid eyeliner. I put it on after my eye shadow, let it dry a bit while I put on my blush and lip liner, and then take an eye shadow applicator to smooth it out. It works well, stays on all day, doesn't run or anything!
I use eye defining pencils when I'm in a mad hurry, but the line isn't as pretty.
I usually buy Mary Kay off eBay to try to get a deal, but you can also get it from http://www.marykay.com
I like their products, and have used it for many, many years.
Good luck!

Just look for one that says waterproof and smear proof. Several brands work. After you have applied all your makeup, Use a large brush and lightly dust your face with powder..including your closed eyes. Then apply an Ice cube in a paper towel or coffee filter to set your makeup. This will keep it in place.

I use those dollar ones at walgreens..lol It works real good for me.. i never have a problem with it running down my face. It is real easy to take off at night too. Make sure if you get one of those, that it's the ones that easily come on and you don't have to be rubbing like crazy for it to go on. It's a waste of money to get expensive ones when they are going to be hard to take off and are gonna be running down your face in a few hours anyways. (I use darkest black I can find)

Almay's liquid liner is really good, as far as a pencil try MAC Powerpoint, it goes on creamy but dries in few seconds and stays put!

Lancome has a waterproof eye pencil in all sorts of pretty shades that works super well. It stays put, yet it comes off easily with eye make-up remover.
