A cockfight, I am sure, is not what YOU think it is. It's about male chicken (roosters) fighting and it is inhumane. That's why it's illegal. Cruelty to animals.

crazyhumans is right. They attach razors to the roosters talons and put them in a ring to slice each other to death. The betting is on which chicken will live. Obviously this is cruelty to animals, and IMO a pretty stupid way to spend an evening.

If you are talking about cocks as in roosters then they are trained to fight. They have razors attached to their legs and they cut and slash each other. It is cruelty to animals. Like dogfights (between dogs not planes).

They peck each other to death. It is illegal cuz it is like if you fought this one dude and he died only they can't put a chicken in jail so it's illegal.
