Hmmm, here's a couple of ideas:
Look underneath the couch or chairs. I'm not just talking about under the cushions, but actually on the floor underneath of it. Also, check on any flat surfaces, such as book shelves, tv stands, tables, etc. Don't forget to check your computer desk, too, because for me at least, a lot of stuff ends up there. If all else fails, check anywhere on the floor. If it takes too long to find, you're likely looking too high before, about eye-level, when it's down some place that requires being on the floor to see it.
I hope you find that thing. There really ought to be a paging system for remote controls, kind of like what is used for the cordless phone... just touch the button on the phone base, and the phone starts beeping, so you can find it. I don't see why everything doesn't have that! ;)

Ok, just calm down and breathe...I know this can be a difficult time for a man...
Ok, I want you to check the following locations:
1. All couch and chair crevasses
2. The fridge and freezer
3. The bathroom
4. If you have a wife - check her hand
5. If you have a dog - check any freshly dug holes
If you cannot locate it any of these places, then I'd suggest buying a new remote. Until then, you can move your chair closer, and use the broom handle.

At my house, that is the number one question. If my husband looses his, it can usually be found either under the couch between the cushions. If he looses mune, it is usually under his bedside table or mixed up in all the pillows or covers. I I loose mine, it is always in the floor, just out of sight, underneath my side of the bed. If you don't find it in any of these places, check the bathroom. Things are often carried into the bathroom by a person to the if he or she is in a hurry.

If you ever do find your remote, using those methods, why don't you glue your remote to the TV, so you'll never lose it again.
